    Our country is ridiculous. Just at the Federal level, we have accumulated close to $22 trillion in debt, and we're staring at more than a $1 trillion budget deficit next year.

    We should be having a conversation about how we are going to rein in our wasteful, corrupt and out of control government and how much it has hamstrung our economy and infringed on our individual liberties.

    Instead we're having a dumb conversation about $5 billion for an utterly useless wall. We might as well be arguing about spending $5 billion to dig ditches across Kansas with spoons. It's that much more ridiculous because of the fact that by the time our government was done mismanaging a project like that, it realistically would cost more like somewhere between $25 and $50 billion to build the wall the idiot actually promised. The fact that we have conversations about billions of dollars for stupid things like the money is nothing, while we run up trillions of dollars of debt, is something we're all going to really regret.

    That's coming in January. Mick Mulvaney was whining this morning about how out of control government spending was driving the deficit and that there would have to be cuts made.

    Democratic House of Representatives now. All money bills shall originate in the House. Trump being such a prize chump, Pelosi could probably trade that $5 billion for the wall for $150 billion in social spending.

    First thing is to zero out funding for Air Force One. Park it.

    Next, cut the White House food budget to the equivalent of one adult on SNAP benefits. That's about $6.50 per day.

    That'll cover a Big Mac and a small fry. No drink.

    Mulvaney can whine like a baby all he wants but the GOP can forget about cutting Social Security and Medicare with the Democrats controlling the House. Thank goodness.
