I don't care for the made-for-hashtag #Resistance label. Sounds like a cheap sci-fi drama.
These are Americans who reject the manufactured reality of the regime (and this is not an administration so much as a regime).
Syria- I can take it or leave it. Reminds me of the scene in Born on the Fourth of July when Ron Kovic goes in his wheelchair to the burger joint owned by his high school friend.
His buddy says people want them out of Vietnam because we are not winning, and it's all for bullshit lies.
But you can't just roll up the shit like a failed casino.
Top minds have turned over this problem in their heads for many years- people spend lifetimes studying this problem.

 

The thing about you is that you aren’t even good at what you try to do. Is there really an average American? If so are they are more than a minority? There’s a middle. But I dont think they are average. The average white voter is a trumpster. The average nonwhite voter is antitrump reactionary.

The middle, college educated mainly white, affluent but not wealthy and Christian (Jews,Asians, Non European Ethnic) without being religious are a minority without leadership or representation. We are getting screwed and paying the taxes. We don’t want open borders but we don’t mind immigration and refugees seeking a better life.

The rest of the country is getting the government they deserve.

 

I don’t think there is an average American. I think there is an average voter, and people like us who pay close attention to politics sometimes forget how disconnected and disinterested that average voter is.

It's odd - last March Trump said he hoped the US soldiers would be leaving Syria soon (I'm way behind in my New Yorkers) - not sure why it came as such a shock when he pulled the trigger.
