President Trump: The NEW one and only politics thread

As much as people like to play the "both sides" card - this shutdown right now is owned by the Senate GOP. They pass a bill, Trump vetoes, override the veto. Government opens. Figure Trump has cover, it would also show that the Senate could get 2/3rds to vote on something - which would surely catch the President's attention. Also - probably change the course of his Presidency, give Mitch that much more power.
As it is - the GOP probably won't lose more than three or four seats max in 2020 in a worst case scenario.
