Both those quotes - 'deplorables' and 'coal miners' - were repeated again and again without context by the 'liberal' press.

Their jobs aren’t being taken away. They have been going away for a long damn time.

It's her campaign's job, it's her job to both make sure her statements can't be pulled out and used against her like that. This is elementary shit. I sat on a couch for the final three weeks of the campaign with my wife, who worked in the inner circle of a couple successful U.S. Senate campaigns in a former life. And she was bulletpointing all the stuff they were fucking up.

But it's perfectly acceptable for Venezuela's dictator to load twenty tons of gold (most likely the country's locally held gold reserves) onto a Russian plane and fly it out? Or to attempt to get his hands on another $1.2B of Venezuela's gold, held in London?

That's not the U.S. meddling, that's Maduro raping the country's treasury and flying it to Russia, for whatever reason. I feel safe in believing that his motives do not involve keeping the country's hard currency reserve safe.

You know, to just be grossly generalistic, you could put half of Trump's supporters into what I call the basket of deplorables. Right? They're racist, sexist, homophobic, xenophobic – Islamophobic – you name it. And unfortunately, there are people like that. And he has lifted them up. He has given voice to their websites that used to only have 11,000 people – now have 11 million. He tweets and retweets their offensive hateful mean-spirited rhetoric. Now, some of those folks – they are irredeemable, but thankfully, they are not America.

    very fine people

So the NRA has finally decided to comment on the NRA trip to Russia and involvement there. Of course, they say that it was all an innocent attempt to help with gun rights there. Nothing to see here.

NRA says 2015 Moscow trip wasn’t 'official.' Emails, photos reveal gun group's role

The National Rifle Association made its first public attempt this week to distance itself from any formal involvement in a now infamous trip to Moscow undertaken by a group of its high-ranking members, but internal NRA emails and photos posted on social media reviewed by ABC News appear to show the organization was significantly involved in planning it.

Sen. Ron Wyden, an Oregon Democrat who has launched an investigation of the NRA and written a series of letters seeking “information and documentation” about the trip, disputed the NRA’s public attempt to distance itself from the trip.

“It’s not credible for the NRA to claim that they played no official role in the 2015 Moscow trip,” Sen. Wyden told ABC News on Tuesday.

Less fishermen. Less need for stuff to wrap the fish in. It all makes sense now.
