I don't mind WWII stories either. They're great!

But I don't know what role it had in last night's proceedings.

Also: Perhaps the worst possible way to have ever framed the immigration issue - if you desire to actually solve it and not just use it as a wedge - is one of safety. A lot of Americans just don't feel that threat.

A better way is the safety and treatment of undocumented immigrants themselves once they get here. Trump's tried - and failed - to pivot to that because he's worked the other angle too long.

 

We're constantly told locals know better than the Feds by those on the right. Why isn't that the case here?

Perhaps this was addressed earlier, but his claim that we'd be at war with North Korea if he wasn't elected president was the most fantastical thing he said all night — fantastical as in it's pure and utter horse shit. I bet every one of his joint chiefs would have liked to slap the shit out of him for that remark alone. Christ, Trump is an abomination.
