Re: AOC. ... Tim Sloan from Wells Fargo may be one of the least likable CEOs in the US. It's not so much about him as it is about no matter what he says or does, he's the CEO of Wells Fargo.

I don't know if anyone touched it on here, and I haven't looked, but Sloan testified last week in front of a House Financial Services hearing, and AOC dug in to grill him and demonstrate to everyone how Wells Fargo has given us global warming and children in cages at ICE detention centers and therefore needs to be punished. ... and he proceeded to make her look ridiculous, in my opinion.

If you can find a clip of it watch it, but the home run soundbite was her being reduced to talking about a "hypothetical" leak from a pipeline that Wells Fargo had provided financing for. She first tried to pin global warming on Wells Fargo, and he kept answering to the effect, “I’m not familiar with the specific assertions you are making, can you be more specific?"

So that led to her asking. “So, hypothetically, if there was a leak from the Dakota Access pipeline, why shouldn’t Wells Fargo pay for the clean up of it since it paid for the construction of the pipeline itself?”

His response (he kept going, but should have left it at this): “Because we don’t operate the pipeline, we provide financing to the company that’s operating the pipeline."
