In a deep red state not sure what his paths to future success are.

A Cabinet post is a possibility. Mayors get Cabinet posts in Democratic administrations. HUD, HHS, something like that.

 

(Assuming he's not likely to get the nomination) I'd like to see him in a Cabinet position - maybe VA or HHS or Commerce? That wouldn't have any electoral impact, but he seems like someone thoughtful who would make good decisions & could get things done. I expect he'd be interested in a Cabinet position, as he doesn't seem to have many options for higher office in or representing Indiana.

The only thing missing from the Calexico plaque is the damn exclamation point and the superfluous quotation marks.

 

The exclamation point at the end of the last line of the plaque gets me every time.
