That is exactly what he should have done. Maybe he really did just assume Clinton would win. Maybe he thought it was wrong to do it., Maybe he didn't want his presidency to be remembered for a fight might lose. But he damn sure should have made the Republicans fight that battle.

" ... than has ever been gotten ..."

That, right there, is our fucking president, who has only a passing relationship with functional English. Every time he opens his phone, he makes our country look stupider. I've been a better functional alcoholic than he'll ever be as a supposed functional human.

    Rick Reilly Is Woke Now

In one of the book’s funniest stories, Trump is playing golf with the old ESPN Monday Night Football crew. It’s Trump and Jon Gruden versus Mike Tirico and Ron Jaworski. Tirico, Reilly writes, hits “the 3-wood of his life” to the green. But Tirico finds his ball in a bunker 50 feet from the pin. Trump’s caddy tells Tirico that Trump, who’d reached the green first, threw it there.
hahaha. Just picturing this cracks me up.

I've really tried personally to not complain about Trump vacations/golf excursions because those complaints were mind-numbingly stupid when they were made about Obama, and mind-numbingly stupid when they were made about Bush. The only way to stop the cycle of stupid is to stop taking part, so I stopped. Presidents get to take vacations and play golf. Period. They're never off the clock, anyway.

POTUS spending the majority of each term in "executive time" watching cable TV, to me, is way more fertile ground for criticism, even if it doesn't meme quite as well in this circumstance.

This line from The Ringer's Reilly piece struck me:

“Now, there’s talk that one of his favorite caddies might be illegal,” he said of Trump. “I’m trying to get to the bottom of that.”

    First, that'd hardly surprise me.

Second, woke Reilly is using the word illegal when most progressives are horrified by its use.

I do wonder if the ignorance is genuine, or just an affect adopted by staffers to adequately represent the administration.

Trump's already back underwater on Rasmussen 48-51. It's like the no collusion never mattered - I think mostly though, it wasn't the point. Since then the President has already attacked and retreated on health care and a border shutdown.
