Small point, but they asked the Trumps about whether they hired undocumented workers at their golf clubs, which certainly is a practice among clubs, but hypocritical given the rhetoric of the campaign. They said that they didn’t and had been using E-Verify (a governmental program to confirm the documents/status of employees but which is pricier than collecting the data by hand) for years. That was simply a lie — they just told people that they were.

 

I’ve had an idea for a novel running through my head where an Ann Coulter-type jumps all over women for abortions and then a guy who is obsessed with her decides to kidnap her, hold her hostage in a hidden room and rape her until she gets pregnant because he wants to test her and see if she’ll have the abortion because he wants to make a political statement.

Maybe I should start typing. Or seek professional help.
