The Repubs can get everything from Pence they get from Trump with a tenth of the turmoil. It escapes me how they stick with this mincing drama queen.

 

I think they realize Pence is so dull that he won't motivate the base to get out and vote. They've gotten used to Trump. They've realized he's immune to consequences. He allows them to think and do what they've always wanted but were afraid to ask or actually attempt. Outward contempt of minorities? No problem. Imposing a poll tax? Do it. Disdain for the rule of law and traditional values of a democracy? Fire away.

 

All of this is taking the same trajectory Palpatine took, no joke.
He too had dipshit senators (one in particular) willing to shine his balls on the chamber floor.

I think the problem is you have 19 safe R Senate seats up who could easily be primaried (including Mitch) in 2020 if they went against Trump. Not hard to scrape together another 18.

 

Hard to faithfully uphold the constitution when you don't understand it.
