    Haahahaha it's so funny

Glad we needed the clarification on the difference:

David Popp, a spokesman for McConnell, said the difference between now and three years ago, when McConnell famously blocked Judge Merrick Garland's ascension to the Supreme Court, is that at that time the White House was controlled by Democrat and the Senate by a Republican. This time, both are controlled by the GOP.

Oh, jeez. Believe what you want. Of course there’s complexity. Do I think the conceal law had something to do with it? Perhaps. Certainly the 2007 law didn’t; it was 8 years old by the time the rates took a jump.

The NYT story on Baltimore is informative. It’s a little bit of everything. Maryland’s murder rate is way up too since 2014. But it is certainly, to some degree, a purposefully weaker police presence. You’re free to watch the doc on Netflix about the Flint police department, too.

Figure out a way to train police to not shoot unarmed black people and I'll consider supporting an increased police presence.

I don't see how police departments get to decide how much they wish to enforce the law so as to minimize their legal jeopardy for breaking the damn law.

The police should completely withdraw from areas where the African American population is overwhelming. It’s clear that the police instigate crime, their presence antagonizes the local population into assaultive behavior. Self policing in the urban African American is exactly what’s needed.

Besides Republican Party officials and the trump administration no one claims the tax cuts are doing anything but enriching the rich.
