The Romney thing is interesting.

He was obviously very outspoken about Trump's fitness for the job.

Does he walk that back? Or does he maintain it, in some form, while explaining that he cares too much about America to let some schmoe bring it down?

 

If you don't care about walls or fences or no trespassing signs, how do you think Trump will secure the border? Station volunteer patriots with the guns they managed to hide from Obama every 15 feet?

 

Well since illegal immigration from Mexico has been at a net zero for the past several years, and this has been a completely ginned up issue, I guess Trump doesn't have to do a damn thing. Good work, Trump!

Why walk anything back? If Trump has proven anything, it's that you can say whatever the hell you want without political consequences. All these mo-mos --- Rubio, Cruz, Romney, Ryan, McCain -- have already proven they're spineless pols just looking to remain relevant. If Romney wants relevancy in the Trump years, he'll swallow his pride. I'm guessing the only ones who won't among the GOP elite are the Bushes.

 

Working on a promise to make college more affordable is a bit more ephemeral than pouring concrete around the Texas border, though.
