I disagree, she was politically active since at least college, I think she was genuine. (I realize people say that crap like that about trump, and they feel it sincerely, but I believed in her)

I thought she was genuine until the health care push in 93 or 94. After she was bear by asshole republicans she got personally bitter and retreated into self pity. After Bills sex stuff came out, she just became bitter. She’s a classic liberal, but she’d trade policy for electability.

He's actually got some of the same qualities that people like in the President. He is a bit crass, he is willing to sling insults, he "talks like us." The people who voted for the moron because his voice was different than much of the Washington establishment, rather than blind conservatism, might find some appeal in Biden. The dinosaur in Biden might make them more ... comfortable.

As a native Delawarean, whose first vote included Biden for Senate, I feel I need to add some explanation. It's a small place. Everybody knows everybody at the politictsl elite, even small time elite like state reps. Biden in person is a delightful guy. One of my brothers, a Republican mover and shaker in good standing, has opposed Biden in every election since like 1980. And personally, he thinks Biden is delightful. He's got one of the primo political talents. People meet him and like him.

    Of course she was.

Obama governed as a Rockefeller Republican.

The idea that anyone in the Democratic establishment is somehow on the "left" of the political spectrum is laughable.

The Democrats have to go far enough left . . . to go back to being Democrats.

I don't know if it's "left" or whatever - they need a candidate who doesn't hem and haw and try and be all things to all people. Stand for something. Back it up and don't back down.

Laugh away. We disagree. Obama was left on the spectrum.

See also: Bill Clinton. Say what you wish about the mess with Monica Lewinsky - and every bit of it is probably true - but he has a communication gift. Helps a lot.

Hillary is not as gifted on that front. Smarter, well connected politically and knows how to get through the swamp without needing too many tetanus and malaria injections, but doesn't capture people like Bill.

People will try to try to see if Joe Biden is a phony. Tough to blame anyone who might be skeptical ... guess we'll find out.

    To the left of whom?

    On what spectrum?
