Tough day for the Trumpists. NRATV goes dark and USWNT plays on.

Imagine being so in the tank for a criminal that you root against your own country's national team.

The party that is bankrolling Trump's ego party on the Fourth appears to be rooting against USWNT. And I'm not surprised.

That's why Trump requested them for the July 4 party.

I know a few people like that.

In 2016, with Hillary, it was always "Blah, blah, blah, Wall Street. Blah, blah, blah, war hawk..." I kept trying to tell them there were only two viable choices and punting until 2020 was not a viable option.

They blame the DNC for forcing Clinton on people and saying the party gave them the finger. Cry me a river. Grow up and don't give me that "Insisting that you have to vote for one of the two major parties' nominees just perpetuates the two-party system" shit.

The DNC does not choose its nominee. The voters in the primaries and caucuses do (and no, they were not "rigged"). Clinton won more of the primaries and received 4 million more votes than Sanders. The DNC could not just toss that out just because Bernie polled better against Trump.

And the Republicans would have eaten Bernie alive. They never attacked him and that's why he polled so well against Trump. They had a 2 1/2-foot thick folder of opposition research on him that they never got to use. There's no way he could have overcome that. Yet the Bernie Bros were so certain voters would have seen right through it.

I hope they're happy, but those smug assholes just blame the Democrats for forcing Clinton down their throats.

To keep the soccer thread politics free ... but this is major league trolling.

Of course, in BTE's world, there is no middle ground at all. Full-on ass kisser or insultingly overbearing are the only options.

They would have loved to take out Bernie, whose partisan affiliation literally includes the word socialist.
Then people would have said, “If the Dems had just played it safe, they’d have prevented Trumpism. But nooo. They had to nominate a socialist.” And so on.

Trumpists have the incumbent bigot. They control access to the polls through the legislatures of stupid states. And they control the vote-tabulation system through Secretaries of State. When you have that, you don’t need ideas or polls or human decency.
