This scares the hell out of me, and it's exactly the sort of dirty backroom dealing that has left the R's in the drivers seat. They'll cheat their asses off to ensure that the old white men stay in power even if they are in the minority. They hold a lot of legislatures and judges and could conceivably ram this through. Barr is a dirty partisan hack, and I have zero trust in him to deal fairly or work within the law.
