Kitchen Nightmares (either version) was so much better, but Restaurant Impossible will do in a pinch.

The last season when they ambushed people was terrible, though. They never even talked about the food!

 

Agreed. Because that's what I find so fascinating when I watch Food Network shows, how they put together dishes so quickly.

 

Turns out I may have overstated Flavortown a tad.

But it still is extremely successful, 17 mil in 2015:

Top 40 in revenue, not bad.

 

Haven't watched "Restaurant Impossible" in a while, but I can easily get sucked into a marathon of its bastard cousin "Bar Rescue."

 

Worked with a lot of women who could hold their own in the raunchiness/profanity category, but one of my favorites was when I was a night metro editor (my desk was right next to the copy desk) and there was a female copy editor who loved to tell and be told fart stories and jokes. She'd even talk about her boyfriend's, uh, high-volume natural gas production. Had a difficult time keeping a straight face when I finally met the guy, and also wondered if I needed to hold my nose.

 

I wish Bar Rescue would come to some places around here and go medieval on their asses.

 

I have to quit posting for now and be productive elsewhere.

Sad!

 

I rather like this reality-jack. The other reality is too much to bear.

 

Are there really people bothered by DW and typefitter going back and forth? It's the best part of the thread if you ask me!
