    To cite but one example, he stood on Air Force One and blatantly lied to reporters when asked if he knew about the payments to Stormy Daniels. So who cares if he tolerates a couple of questions on his way to a MAGA rally or to golf.

    This plausible scenario rests on one very big unproven because it can't be assumption -- that Trump's current approval rating will rise everywhere because that's what usually happens if the economy is good. We have learned the word "usually" doesn't apply to Trump. If the election was today, again an impossible assumption because it won't be, Trump would lose both the popular vote and electoral college.
