I've spent 20-plus years in various newsrooms. I'm quite comfortable being surrounded by people who don't necessarily share my worldview. Some people are just more tolerant, I suppose.

 

At what point does the GOP tell DeVos "We tried, but this is not working out."? Quoting inaccurate and inflated propaganda numbers from a company she invested in - and as usual without attribution. How do we tell the children in our schools not to copy the smart kid sitting in front of them when the frigging SecEd is repeatedly cheating?

Hey, I've stayed there! Was in early August of '08 ... Spent the night there before we headed up to the GC for three nights of camping.

Didn't have that pancake machine, though ... my kids would have flipped (ha!) out.

EDIT: Nope, I was lying (hi @YankeeFan!). Turns out we stayed at the El Rancho ...

 

Tonight we're hosting a gathering that will include hardcore Trump supporters and others who are hardcore in their opposition to Trump.

We've all know each other for decades.

I'll do my best to steer conversation away from politics and create diversions with shiny vacuum tubes, but at some point it's gonna be go time.

I'll assume the role of referee and peacemaker.

Any good thoughts my way appreciated, thank you.
