    I do think DWTS skews very GOP - they've had a lot of conservative culture warriors on that show whether directly in politics or not.

    Per Wikipedia ...

    Donny Osmond won in 2009.
    Bristol Palin finished third in 2010.
    Sadie Robertson of the Duck Dynasty clan finished second in 2014.

    Tucker Carlson was on there too, right?

    I actually think they do a good job casting the show, finding people who will get people who might not otherwise tune in - to tune in to support a specific person or just see a trainwreck. The athletes, the models, the Disney stars, YouTubers, oldsters.
    Tom DeLay was on this show. It pays from $125k to $35ok for the winner.

    It’s network TV. Red America is still primetime milquetoast TV, AM talk radio and basic cable. Red Lobster and Golden Corral are still in business and Walmart is crowded.

    People of fake values. They drive drunk but it’s ok because they can handle it. Slap the wife around a bit, it was good enough for ma and pa. It’s not rape if you know her. It’s ok for me but not for you
    You’ve got to remember that these are just simple farmers. These are people of the land. The common clay of the new West. You know… morons.
