President Trump: The NEW one and only politics thread

I don’t understand how anyone can reasonably look through the available evidence supplied by Trump himself and think A. This is nothing/not serious enough, or B. Trump will get through this unscathed.

Keeping Ukraine strong in the face of Russia is our government’s strategy. Trump halted the implementation of that strategy to create leverage to force Ukraine to help him win the 2020 election.

He interfered with US foreign policy strategy to help himself win, and the stone cold proof is right there in black and white in the notes he himself released.

He’s completely fucked, even if nothing else comes out. His only hope is the general public will lump this in with their already set impression that he’s a crook and assume this is nothing new, but this is pretty damn simple to explain, especially compared to the Mueller report.

I’m at about 90% he will be impeached, and there’s a far better chance he’ll be removed from office than I ever would have thought possible. (Granted I think that chance is up from 0 to maybe 15%.) It’s hard enough for the GOP to pretend the call transcript is nothing, though they certainly are trying, but the whistle blower report indicates that troubling call is one of many, and that it’s all been suppressed in an attempted cover up. There’s a real chance something comes out of this even Republicans can’t ignore. (Hence my 15%)

There’s never been a shortage of reasons to impeach this dumbass but there’s never been anything as clear cut and as serious as the agreed upon facts of this case before any investigation even starts. He’s truly fucked, IMO.
