President Trump: The NEW one and only politics thread

With that tongue, Trump looks like the alien/human hybrid baby born in "V."

 

I know that this won't resonate with most of you, and hey, that sort of goes hand-in-hand with the gist of my post:

I just don't give a fuck anymore.

In a rare moment of clarity, I imagined what would be different in my life had the female Clinton been elected president. And the only answer I can have is ... not a hell of a lot. Maybe 30% fewer angry memes on social media. But how is a Trump presidency affecting me and my loved ones? Not too much.

This is really going to make you cringe, but the tangible thing I have right now is that my IRA is multiplying. Not enough to make me a Trump fan; just saying.

So I'm done swinging my fist. I'm done having angry disagreements with lifelong friends about it. It just isn't worth it. And if Trump is re-elected next November, I might cluck my tongue and shake my head, but that head is going to rest on my pillow just as easily that night. Politics bore me anyway.

Others can play the social-warrior game.

 

If their mission statement is to bring speakers from across the ideological spectrum to campus, they fulfill that obligation with this decision. At least in a general sense. Here's what the story doesn't address: Does the organization have a budget? If so, what is it? Is $50K a big ticket item for a speaker? Does a $50K outlay for these Trumpists effectively preclude the organization from getting somebody with different political leanings for a later speech?

And if Ukraine doesn't comply?

 

And ruin the narrative that thousands of people are waiting outside to hear him? Or is that just daddy's sthick?

 

Yeah, no point in worrying anymore until the warheads go off outside your window at 4 a.m.
