    Mayor of NYC is unlike any other elected position. Your politics don't really matter. And it doesn't matter what you do.

    As long as the snow plows get out and the trash gets picked up, all that matters is that you do something. Anything, really. Whatever it is you do, you just need to do it with a strong, forceful personality and a presence.

    Do that, and you go down as a good mayor of NYC (but are unsuited for any other political position), especially if you followed a wet noodle mayor that people can contrast you to. It's why LaGuardia is remembered after a couple of unmemorable mayors. It's why Ed Koch gets stuff named after him, Abe Beame doesn't. It is why Giuliani, especially after David Dinkins, would have been remembered. ... at least until he changed his legacy to "Trump's guy."

    It's too bad, but he is the living, breathing definition of hubris. And that always lead to downfall in the Greek tragedies.

    When Giuliani ran for President in 2008, my Brooklyn born and raised wife said, "America will never elect a President with a New York accent." Losing and losing badly really seemed to send Rudy over the edge into full wingnut mode.

    I remember talking with a New Yorker during the Subway Series, asking him who he was rooting for. He said the Mets, just so he could see known Yankee fan (as opposed to you-know-who) Rudy leading their parade.

    Let's say Trump is right about this deep-state witch hunt stuff. When you cut through all the crap, it's really about nothing more than Democrats refusing to accept that he won the election.

    Let's say Obama really did spy on him and his campaign and used bogus evidence to get FISA warrants.

    None of it is true, but let's say it is.

    So fucking what?

    Trump has no business being President and should be removed by any means necessary.
