They could have sat back, let the Dems do their investigation, made a few bland remarks about how they’re innocent, let the Dems impeach, have the Republicans in the Senate vote to acquit, declare victory, spike the football, and move on to 2020.

Instead, they lose their fricken minds, come up with the most ridiculous excuses, go on childish tweetstorms, whine like a bunch of spoiled brats about the investigation, get our allies killed, and permanently damage the country.
