For whatever it's worth, I believe Yovanovitch and Kent are/were both strong Republicans given the (usually pejorative) use of Democrat adjectivally.
Viz., "In the Democrat administration"

I mean, this is accurate.

The Democrats simply believe Trump deserves all of those things because he's a criminal and a liar.

 

The use of the word "sabotage" gives the game away. Barr believes there is no legitimate opposition to the Republican party. He is a Stalinist of the right. There is no doubt in my mind he will launch a criminal investigation of whoever wins the Democratic nomination with false evidence. I mean, it'll be a stretch if it's Mayor Pete, as he's only 37 and hasn't much time to do crimes, but Barr's up to it.
