You aren't seriously trying to blame the long-standing divisions between Ukraine and Russia on the United States, are you? I grew up with a Ukranian grandmother who would curse out anybody who dared call her a Russian. That shit goes back a long way.

But Russia is Ukraine's No. 1 trading partner --- by a long shot. Always have been. Always will be.

They share a border. They share a culture. They share a language. They share families. They share a religion.

Quit trying to put the countries at each others' throats. Is that too much to ask?
