I don't quite know where to put this. Everyone pretty well checks this thread so I'm going to dump it here.

My wife took a 3rd degree burn on her butt in our car wreck. It was perhaps 2" x 5", and they harvested skin from the back of her thigh to cover it. It was a nightmare. It took a long, long time to heal, and would crack open and bleed at knots of scar tissue for years afterward. I don't even want to think about what a horrible experience having major burns over a significant percentage of your body is. As reference for those who just glance at the headline, the average human body has roughly eleven square feet of skin.

I suffered third-degree burns on my left leg from mid-thigh to ankle in a tractor accident when I was 14. Between the debriding tank, skin grafts and physical therapy, I wouldn’t wish that on anybody. And it made me completely understand why some folks on 9/11 chose to jump rather than burn.

Eh. Way better country than the USA. Ask anyone, especially NBA players.

I remember my nurse mother telling me about a horrific case of road rash from a motorcycle accident. The biker's legs were essentially flayed. She'd been riding in a bathing suit.
I've told my kids if they want to play with matches/fire I will take them to visit a burn ward first and then ask if they still want to fuck around.

There is a way of objecting to this without sounding like a whining child in the backseat of the station wagon.
Gaetz and Johnson have law degrees, allegedly, and show no evidence of that either.
