If I remember correctly, Clinton's House impeachment vote was on a Saturday, so the networks had no trouble pre-empting programming. I'm sure they'll have the vote this morning. Lakefront, asking members of Congress to miss a chance to bloviate on camera is like asking the Atlantic to be less wet.

What if someone told you the only way to reverse climate change was to either:

And if the last two sound ridiculous, well, hey, it is the future of the planet we're talking about. Isn't the math, or the science, or whatever, going to eventually point us to those kinds of options? Math and science aren't sentimental, after all.

 

You left off, "Because Liberals!" - that subset which will be against anything they perceive Democrats are for.

Humans are egotistical beasts.

The guy sitting in Row YYY in Michigan Stadium thinks his yelling can disrupt that Ohio State offense. "I'M MAKING A DIFFERENCE!!!"

The desire to believe we actually matter is a strong one.

 

Many deny it because smart and educated people said it, and they despise smart and educated people because it makes them feel small and insignificant (alma?). Many deny it because they have enough money to buy their way out of the inconveniences of climate change over the next 20 years and think they have enough for the children.

But mostly they deny it because those that money off it have made it a political game. And those that support sexual assault, rape, thievery, embezzlement, grift, graft, child abduction, human trafficking, forced prostitution, murder, charitable fraud, education fraud, school shootings, workplace shootings, shopping mall shootings, church shooting, domestic violence and Islamic terrorist ( Trumpettes) know that the others belief in it. And its a zero sum political game, if you are for it, we are against it. Simple minded trolls have no independent thought, they need group think.
