Well, the countries of Burundi, Estonia, Kazakhstan, Madagascar, Myanmar, Pakistan, Trinidad and Tobago and Vanuatu use the Electoral College system.

Which means I just learned there is a country called Vanuatu.

I believe the electoral college was a brainy solution to a problem of that time.
The Framers might have quite a laugh over some of the things of theirs we still fetishize.

 

I doubt that it will. Really. CT has evolved quite a bit and you'd read better (and more progressive) culture material than you'd expect.

 

I don't think they imagined one state could have 80 times the population of another while being limited to only about 18 times the electoral vote.
