The Good Times episode is about as topical as anything.

 

This is an important Twitter thread detailing the likely consequences of today's events. It's a holy shit moment and one that will have a severe impact on Middle Eastern relations moving forward.

 

Seemed like the younger candidate's speech about reaching the people spoke to 2016 as much as it might have done so to 1975. The face and the suit? The ghost of 2012 walked the boards that night. There was a collective gasp in the living room at Chez Madison when Jimmy Pearson walked in.

In all seriousness, this is one of those moments I have to remind myself to back away from most social media. Because the reactionary content is going to overwhelm the nuanced, detailed information and analysis.

We have not had a major global conflict in the prime social media era. The War in Iraq was five years old by the time Twitter became a factor in 2008/2009. Yes, we've had historic moments and terrorist attacks and tragedies unfold, but this has the potential to unravel into something we haven't seen in a long time. If not a war, then at least something on the level of the Iranian hostage crisis or more.

 

I agree with you completely, and I probably shouldn't be making light of things. But I feel like that's how the Fox News side is going to react to this.
