    Politics, but of the school board variety ...

    High school in my old coverage area had been the Redmen for years. After consulting with local tribes, who do in fact say that the mascot is offensive, students and faculty vote for a new name, the Red Hawks, and the switch happens last summer. All is well ...

    ... for a few months, until the Board of Education becomes a majority of Republicans, and they vote earlier this week to go back to the Redmen.

    Not sure if I've heard of this happening elsewhere in the country.

    Killingly High back to being Redmen
