DNC drops donor requirement for debates, opening door for Bloomberg

This is awful. Seems pretty clear the DNC is losing faith in Biden and will accept Bloomberg as a fallback. To do this now - while they were fine with the rules eliminating candidates who weren't white is a terrible look.

Perez. "In all fairness to Mr. Bloomberg here. It was a really big check."

I know a lot of seniors who feel like once they retire they don't feel "they matter" anymore. Shoot, most wouldn't know what to do with themselves without being flattered and being able to throw their weight around here and there. Always figured the play is to get elected one last time and then give a heads up to your preferred replacement to get their fundraising in order, then bailout mid-term. If your pick wins, you still have some pull.

Some time ago, a House staffer called the Senate, "America's most prestigious nursing home." Still fits.

The DNC debate process has been a traveshamockery from the jump. It was a mistake to have the donor/poll qualifications from the beginning. Now they can't unscrew the pooch, but I don't think the DNC is looking to Bloomberg as a savior candidate. He'll never get nominated. They do want his money though. Who wouldn't?

And Lamar said earlier he is going to endorse Trump.

It’s also not up to the Senate to do the House’s job, which I’m sure you know as well.

Smart move by this guy. Knows how to target and reach his audience:

With Trump planning to go to his Mar-a-Lago club for Super Bowl weekend, Massie, a four-term Kentucky congressman, is purchasing TV advertising time in South Florida on the president’s favorite channel, Fox News. Massie’s goal: Communicate to the president that his Republican primary challenger, attorney Todd McMurtry, is a “Trump hater.”

The extreme measure one House Republican is taking to win over Donald Trump

Look if its Bloomberg, fine. At least he won't be beholden to Putin nor will he have convicted felons in his inner circle nor will he be belittling women, the disabled, nor demonizing immigrants, or committing impeachable acts (withholding government funds to further his personal interests.)

    Yeah, that's your Trump candidate.

Dude's wife works for the Trump 2020 campaign, White House before that.

No surprise, and CPAC has become a freak show that Romney wouldn't be at anyway, but worth noting
