I grew up 35 minutes from NYC and I could tell Trump was a douchebag when I was a kid.
Before he ran for president I honestly hadn't thought of him in 30 years.
For all his bombast and ego Trump was less 'famous' than Paulie Shore, ffs.
His championing of white losers was more coincidental than a serious campaign plank.

 

I was 8 to 10 years old when Trump ran the New Jersey Generals and the USFL into the ground. Even at that age, I could tell he was a bullshit artist, a charlatan, a three-card monte dealer in a nicer suit. I'll never understand why people can't see through this guy to the complete phony and fraud that he is.

 

Because no one was gonna be watching anyway

 

It’s getting old but he is a stupid person’s idea of a smart man. And a stupid-poor person’s idea of a rich man.

 

Please oh please, let his post impeachment behavior change some minds out there. We are going to see, yet again, new lows. I don't think he can stop and it's only going to get worse.

Charisma. Greasy, dirty charisma but that's what it is. Cohen and others say that people get swept into his orbit. As far as the base and some other Americans, people say the apprentice helped normalize him (I have not seen enough of it to tell). All those little film and tv appearances the whole celebrity thing he created.
Trump is the perfect storm .

 

My first memories of Trump come from Lifestyles of the Rich and Famous.
