He seems determined to hang in until at least South Carolina, when the ethnic background of the electorate changes.

Actually, the ethnic background changes more in Nevada than in South Carolina. Large Hispanic and Asian as well as African American populations. But nobody's done as long as 27-28 percent is the top for first place.

I’ll wait until Biden drops out officially before I gloat that I predicted he would not be the Democratic nominee.

Even NH is too early, but Buttigieg and Klobuchar doing a combined 40% or more in Nevada could mean that democrats are looking at someone to beat trump from the middle. That would be an unexpectedly smart move, in my opinion. Warren and Biden have been dirtied. And Sanders is an untenable national candidate.

Biden's "front-runner" status was always more about name ID and undecideds. His fundraising wasn't great, his volunteer recruitment wasn't strong and his message of "I can win" became less convincing the more he campaigned. As Tapper just pointed out, no one has followed up a fourth place finish in Iowa with a fifth place finish in NH and won the nomination. He's going to need a win in Nevada and SC just to stay in.

She’s an Obama judge. Trump will defy her.

He’s easy to cover for the media, they don’t have to work too hard to get a story or cover him. He’s Uncle Joe and the network evening news can do their 2 minutes of easy coverage without challenging their simple audience.

If Bloomberg just carpet bombs trump with ads in his own name, he can Be enormously helpful to Buttigieg and Klobuchar. Tiye can go high, Bloomberg can hit hard and trump can tweet.
