I think Klobuchar is the really interesting one going forward. Every other candidate has some significant flaw. She's kind of sailing through, gaining momentum. I'd love to see her keep gaining steam.

I figured Amy would be a top candidate four years ago after the '16 debacle, she seemed relatable, experienced but not too old, female from the Midwest. Not sure if the cavalcade of candidates hurt her or what. Pretty sure Booker and Harris were polling ahead of her when they dropped out.
That said - she's nowhere in SC, behind Yang and even with Yang in Nevada in the most recent poll. I have to think Biden's support is going to start to bleed.
And I think you have to wait until Bloomberg appears on a debate stage before you can consider him a serious threat.

    Really bad night for Warren.

Look at how much Steyer spent on ads. I aM all for ambition - but fuck what a waste.

    In other words, thecouphasyettohappen?

I took one of those online "Which candidate aligns with your views?" surveys, and damn if Bennett wasn't the top choice. Of course, there were NO foreign policy questions.

"Hi. I'm Tom Steyer. I'm a nice guy. I alone can beat Trump. I'm Tom Steyer and I approved this message."

Exactly, HanSenSE. There was no edge to those ads in the least.

I imagine consultants have been drooling since Trump was elected - find a billionaire who thinks they can be President and take 10 percent of their TV money. Shoot - I'm sure the billionaires love having ads made about what great people they are airing coast to coast as much as they hope to be President.

I've never said the Democratic Party wasn't going to try to win; I've just noted that there won't be an honest election for them to contest.

Anyone but a centrist will get crushed. Like Mondale and McGovern crushed. Warren and Sanders have no shot in a general election. Biden is old and his message is tired. Mayor Pete and Klobuchar, however. Two midwesterners, one gay, one female. Make a helluva ticket. I mean, the coastal libs are gonna vote for whoever is running against trump. Not sure it would bring out the black vote though.

Agree completely. But if African Americans sit on their hands and get trump re-elected they will lose any national influence they can hope for a generation, if there’s a country left

None of the oldsters over 70 should be even considered as VP. None none none.
The job of the VP is to not die if the POTUS does, and nominating some old codger defeats that whole idea.
