If you want a shit candidate, knock yourself out.

Don't nominate a terrible candidate and demand that other people be excited about it. Doesn't work that way.

And that’s why trump won and will win. 25% of the party and 12% of the country get a veto over the candidate. Sanders isn’t a democrat and they deal with that Dems made was they’d let him run as a dem rather than he runs as an independent and guarantees a GOP win. Buttigieg is a worthwhile candidate, he’s a smart thoughtful candidate with an interesting skill set and very fine communicator. Be lazy and look at his husband and skin color and write him off

Yeah, terrible that 25% of the party should have any say.

Nominate a decent candidate. Buttigieg should be running for congress. Bernie should be the old man who gets up and yells at every city council meeting.

Stop looking for a scapegoat for nominating a terrible candidate.

Sanders won, but I have to think his supporters were disappointed with the margin. I think his campaign is going to have to do a better job appealing to other candidates and expanding his base.
And if overall turnout was as tepid as the exit polls indicate - it could spell bad news for the entire field. Primary campaigns are where you develop volunteers get their names and get them involved in the general.

Stupid, bullshit strawman you built just so you can scold black people. Besides, your racist ass isn't in a position to scold anyone.

Not one person here who doesn't prefer Mayo Pete is doing it because he's gay.

I'm doing it because he's a neophyte whose political accomplishments aside from getting elected are essentially zero. His support in the black community is Blutarsky-like because of the way he dealt with the black community in South Bend, not because he's gay. We're several months in, and the only thing he seems to stand for is civility. He's a bland moderate on pretty much everything. And his ties to McKinsey are a non-starter for me. He's only slightly more preferable to me than a 78-year-old socialist heart-attack victim.

Sanders, Klobuchar, and Buttigieg certainly have momentum, but if anyone thinks there is a clear frontrunner, they're out of their minds.

Nevada and South Carolina have wildly different demographics. Klobuchar and Buttigieg have practically zero resonance or name recognition with black voters yet. Sanders has made inroads with Latinos, but historically hasn't done as well with black voters (partly why Clinton beat him throughout the south in 2016). Warren and Biden have some appeal with voters of color. Plus, Bloomberg lurks.

This is far from decided. Sanders has pulled into the lead, but I'd argue there are six contenders still. Writing any off in the era of the one hour news cycle is foolish.

We're going at least until Super Tuesday without a clear cut nominee. It may go well beyond that.

His support in the black community is zero because he hasn’t kissed ass of black establishment and they like you bad mouth him from a position of pure ignorance. And of course there antipathy towards him from the black community because he’s gay. There’s a long history in the black community of marginalizing Lack gays and lesbians and trans people. Again, even if you think he’s a neophyte and a boring middle of the road nobody, he’s stil, better than trump and sitting on your hands is a vote for trump. Vote for him and you deserve to wipe his ass with your tongue.

25% gets a say, not a veto. Enjoy another 4 years of your Donald

How much more or less preferable is Mayor Pete to the incumbent? THAT is the question.

Democrats should all vote for whomever they feel is the best candidate in primary. That's why we have it. If minorities prefer Sanders, go ahead and vote for him. But when it's all said and done and a candidate is chosen, even if it isn't the guy or gal you voted for, get your ass to the polls and vote 45 the fuck out of office. Because even if you think Sanders got screwed or the chosen candidate is a bore, any Democrat is better than the fuckhead who currently occupies the Oval.

So Bernie wins and he gets the same amount of delegates as Pete because of proportional distribution?

    Damn socialism.
