The problem was her comment was perceived as insulting everyone who was even considering voting for Donald Trump and it knocked people off the fence onto his side.

It’s up to you. I would not be comfortable leaving my pet in the care of someone who I know judges peoples worth on the basis of their skin tone but your mileage may vary.

You and I both know if your wife was from Uganda and not Ukraine your dog sitter would be talking shit about you both.

    But you don't.

    And therein lies the problem.

You can call yourself a Vegan all you want but if you eat meat at every meal, you’re not. I know this.

Since you didn't see it the first time, I'll boldface it this time.

What's your answer to her . . . other than the typical "well, you just shouldn't be pro-life then." ?

Why does there even have to be an “other than”? The point is strong enough.

To Thelma: “You have a sincerely-held belief on abortion, which is not shared by everyone else. One of the people who agree with you is Donald Trump, who is also a racist. How do you reconcile your supposed belief system about human rights for everyone when it comes with this issue with supporting someone who is against human rights for certain people after they are born?

Most of them would have voted for him anyways, because they agree with him,
they hated her or both. They just had their feelings hurt because they’re caught between the proverbial rock and hard place and they hate it.

Her full quote was quite clear. She said half of Trump’s supporters were deplorable and the other half were desperate for help and should be emphasized with. Instead of the desperate ones agreeing that half of their party are assholes, they got mad at the person saying it.

    Agreed. (Now.)

The other day I was playing "What if?" and wondered what the reaction would have been if Hilary had turned around and pushed back at Trump when he stalked her on the debate stage. His behavior was bizarre by the standards of the time and looking back, I don't think anyone knew how to respond. As satisfying as a nut punch from Clinton would have been, maybe simply calling him on his nonsense would have been the wakeup call some would have needed to respond to him as a threat to our country.
