Harris’ insulation is her prosecutorial experience. Many liberals have recognized that being a local prosecutor allows them some credibility with moderates. I’ve seen it first hand about a dozen times. Some take the prosecutor’s job seriously, like Harris and Klobuchar. Others just occupy the job for resume purposes. Cherry picking a case or two out of tens of thousands in large jurisdictions is disingenuous but that’s politics.

 

Stabenow will be 70 in six weeks. She needs to stay in the Senate where she's built up some clout and seniority.


Neither Biden or Bernie should even consider anybody over 60 as Veep.

 

He was calm, detailed, relying on science and experts. He dispensed sober advice, and discounted any fears about a recession, or the gyrations of the stock market until we get past this global, public health crisis.

History will look back on him fondly for how he handled himself in a time of crisis, especially as compared to his peers on the world stage.

 

By that, I mean Trump will dispatch one of his mobbed-up cronies from NYC to do the deed. Don't think the hit would come from Massachusetts.

He finally did the least he could. Let’s not play music and have a parade. It’s a baby step towards adolescence. Let’s see him be a grown up for a few days without tweeting insults and making horrid mistakes.

If POTUS and VPOTUS die before a new VPOTUS can be named, say hi to President Pelosi. Wouldn't bother me, but Trumpists would start a civil war immediately.
