Surprised he didn't wait for a couple of Democrats to test positive for insider trading of sorts. (As I said earlier, I suspect both parties have perpetrators.) But maybe I'm wrong. Maybe it's just Trumpists. We shall see.
Somebody is going to call ol' Tucker aside and remind him that North Carolina, while infected with heavy Trumpist majorities in both houses of the legislature, has a Democrat in the governor's mansion. And we can't have a Democrat nominating a precious Senate seat when they were are so many zygote-Americans, as Charlie Pierce calls them, on edge.

 

Guess Richard Burr didn't think his multi-million dollar "campaign contribution" to the NRA was going to be enough since he has already announced he is not running for re-election in 2022.

He knew what was going on, and he's already trying damage control. Bust his sorry a_s ... and Kelly Loeffler while they're at it.

What amazes me is that a GOP propaganda machine went after a GOP senator, particularly the head of a committee and an obvious Trump loyalist. Since when did they actually see wrong and ... *GASP!* ... do something other than spin, obfuscate and cover up?

Every time I see Gavin Newsom on tv, the more pissed I get at him. He should be the Democratic nominee for POTUS.

 

Yep. Big problem, though. Sexual misconduct disqualifies Democrats but is a badge of honor for Trumpists. It should DQ everybody, but the one and only party of true Christian family Amurrican family values gets a pass from its klan and takes advantage. Or, it'd have been nice if Newsome could have abstained.

 

Everyone wants to know how these members of congress enter the House and Senate and humble teachers, lawyers, public servants and become worth millions within 10 years. Denny Hastert, life-long high school wrestling coach and someone who bounced 44 checks while serving in Congress where his net worth went from $270k to as much as $15m, largely on the back of land deals he was cut in on in exchange for federal spending or legislation Hastert shepherded that increased the lands value three-fold or more.
For all the bellyaching and moaning you hear from incumbents, the inside dealing is likely what keeps them in DC.

 

Hopefully he had to pay some of that out to the boys he molested while becoming a Trumpist family values hero.
