Here’s a headline from The Hill - “Democrats balk at $1,200 rebate checks in stimulus plan” Tell me that’s good optics.

 

Who the fuck reads The Hill except people like us?

 

All you need to do is hold a press conference holding up the paper with the line item on it for the $150 million slush fund and say, "at a time of desperate need for our country's people, THIS is their concern."

 

And is an absolute shitbag.

 

I read that the GOP proposal didn’t require disclosure of who received bailout monies for 6 months (coincidentally, after the election). If that is true, no Democrat should vote for the plan.

 

Six months from when? Six months from now is late-September.

 

Joe Manchin said he wasn't going to vote for it unless Democrats' concerns were addressed. I'd guess that makes the caucus pretty close to unanimous.
PS: Six months from when money is dispensed. So the crooked stuff would have to wait until May 4th.
