    So the president is 73.
The VP is 60, which makes him young on this list.
The current Speaker of the House, next in line of succession, just turned 80.
And the next in line, president pro tempore of the Senate Chuck Grassley, is 86.

The White House press corps can no longer complain that Trump won't hold press conferences. Granted, they're not press conferences. They're campaign rallies for his klan that are poorly disguised as information-sharing sessions.

So here’s the allure of trump for the flyover and southern white Christians. The democrats haven’t given an overt shit about them since 1970. Yes the republicans won’t do shit for them, but they won’t do shit for the minorities, gays, feminists and immigrants either. If I’m getting fucked, you’re getting fucked too. Pretty much the same attitude blacks had in 67-68. We have nothing to lose so burning down this MF country won’t hurt us nearly as much as white america. White trash America just wanted to be some kind of priority for the dems, pay them some lip service, cater to some of their issues. Bill Clinton started to sound that way but he surrounded himself with Hilary and her people and he became just another white liberal pandering to everyone but the plurality of Americans, white Christians in the south and Midwest.

trump isn’t their guy to make their life better. They can’t believe that to be the case. What they want is for everyone to lose. And then they can reclaim the self sought winner of the losers’ bracket.

What's a good example of an issue of particular concern to white Southerners to which a Democrat should cater? I mean specifically to white Southerners rather than something of general benefit such as affordable health care.

It’s not the issue per se, it’s that they believed no message was directed at them. They weren’t and aren’t interested in sharing any benefit. They wanted someone to look them in the eye and say ‘every job is available to you’ ‘no one is getting any job or benefits because they are owed it any more than you’. Reverse discrimination and affirmative action are real
Issues to these folk. It has no real affect on the them. They aren’t going to college, medical or law school. They aren’t missing out on a loan but they thought someone is getting something. And that something is not going to them.

many of them have a small point. They have been left behind as were their parents and grandparents. No one said to them “ you are somebody” until trump. These are the white folks that didn’t own shit. Never hired more than 3 employees in their lives. Never bid on a government contract and don’t own much more than a car and some tools. And if they were lucky some of them got grandmas house. They weren't inheriting a safety net. They have nothing to lose but the chip on their shoulders for failing to do what they accuse others, bootstrapping their lives up.

Yes they are. You think every physician in Alabama, Georgia and Tennessee is a Democrat? My Vol Deplorables board is littered with rabid GOP doctors.
