Yes he will. JFC, he's already been caught in making up stories of things he's done and places he's been.

I have been on this planet 59 years, and I sincerely believe the only president who didn't lie to us was Jimmy Carter.

It’s not his fault Americans are thin-skinned and insecure and didn’t want to hear it.

No, it wasn't, although Carter was also not a very good executive administrator. He was more truthful than the normal politician, but lacked other basic political skills needed to be President, like somehow getting along with those assholes in Congress. (That's every President's view of Congress, BTW).

    You had something to hide
Shouldn't have hidden it, shouldn't you
    Now you're not satisfied
With what you're being put through
It's just time to pay the price
    For not listening to advice

Things could be so different now
It used to be so civilized
    You will always wonder how
It could have been if you hadn't lied
It's too late to change events
It's time to face the consequence

That's a reflection on us. We WANT to be lied to.

In the 1990s we WANTED to believe Russia had become "nice" and was our friend and that everything over there was rainbows and unicorns after the fall of the Soviet Union and people were free and prosperous and living the capitalist dream. And Clinton and Gore did their best to tell us that myth.

Couldn't have been further from the truth.

We're like the citizens of that fictional city in Demolition Man, who want to be told, "You look GREAT today. You are an incredibly sensitive man, who inspires joy-joy feelings in all those around you."

Joe Biden will say things you WANT to believe are true. And thus, he will be hailed as a "refreshing" change from the ogre who said things other people wanted to believe were true.

Another 6.6 million initial jobless claims number.

At the same exact time that number dropped, the Fed announced $2.3 trillion more worth of lending. Timed to the second.

We have never seen anything like this in one day. They are now controlling our lives.

They are going to try to reinflate a stock market bubble by creating trillions of dollars of money out of thin air thinking that that trick can create stasis anymore. ... while the actual economy that people are living in spirals down. So Noearnings, Inc. will be trading at 170 times earnings, and stock prices will have no actual meaning except to whatever speculators are left who have the money to gamble. There is no honest price discovery, just exponentially increasing monetized debt that gets pumped in. And in the actual world 95 percent of people are stuck living in, millions of people will be standing on bread and soup lines.

The long-term effects of the insane amount monetized debt they are sticking all of us with, is going to cripple the economy for a very, very long time. They created this mess in the first place by blowing a leverage-induced bubble. And they are not going to allow the necessary deleveraging to happen without taking that leverage as high as they can before they are powerless. It's so maddening, because they work outside of the understanding of most people.

Why didn't anyone figure out earlier that it was this easy?

All of us have been going to work and busting our humps all these years and struggling to bring home our piece of bacon.

When it was really just simply a matter of have a price czar in charge of everything, who is given the power to create endless amounts of credit and money to buy that debt -- because nobody else will touch it anymore. All that czar has to do is keep the amount of credit growing exponentially forever and monetize it, and we really don't need to actually produce things or worry about demand driving the economy. We can just let someone centrally plan us into prosperity.

So are the people ordering tens of thousands of businesses to shut down, which caused the jobless claims in the first place.

If you're going to take a wrecking ball to the economy, I guess you need to pretend that you have a fix in mind, too.

And if those jobless numbers had come up during the previous administration--for any reason--the opposition's reaction would have just been nonchalant.

It was The virus that delivered the wrecking ball, not the brave people saving us from it.
