I don't think Trump will last four years, but I wouldn't be so quick to say he's toast just yet.

What he's saying that does make sense is that he sees a unique opportunity to get things done the way he wants to, and if Congress takes on the WH too fast or they get bogged down with bickering amongst themselves, 2 years can pass in a hurry and they could accomplish none of it. It's either stunningly cynical or tone deaf or more likely both, but his point is true. That's just not a reason to deny or ignore what seems to be happening, no matter how disappointing it is.
