    I must be a bad person, because I can’t stop watching this. I can’t wait to see the conclusion: does the baby land at least somewhat safely? Does the catcher deck the guy who jumped on the bubble thing?

    Can any California governor be classified as underrated? It's crazy how myopic the East Coast media is.

    My guess is that news orgs have forgotten how to cover leaders who are competent and aren't met with outrage.

    From Patrick Doyle's account of John Prine's last days in the current Rolling Stone:

    “He felt sorry for America,” says Fiona. “That it had come to this: that the political distancing was now a physical distancing. He would tell me about how when he was a kid, nobody cared whether you were a Democrat or a Republican. It was the last thing you thought about when you were at school or you were with your friends. It broke his heart that his country became this divided.”
