If nothing else, they’re banking on a Biden DOJ “looking forward, not back,“ much like the Obama DOJ did post-Bush. Yeah, fat chance.

Obama was smart because for the shit Cheney et al did with Iraq that would warrant an investigation, the country was in a shit state with the economy. More people were worried about that than comeuppance.

Trump's people will have fucked up during this crisis and made it worse. People might want a pound of flesh. Then again, Trump might have to be dragged out of the oval kicking and screaming so for the sake of not igniting a civil war, Biden might just let them be.

Nah, Biden will do that, saying the country needs to move on, needs a break from all the chaos, etc., and Trump will rage every single day on OANN and Twitter and keep the hate stirred up. He'll remain in the news because he's Trump, now and ex-president and his words will be newsworthy, according to the NYT and the Washington Post and CNN, and that voice will be louder than whatever Biden is doing, good or bad, to clean up the mess.

I fear it's going to be a shit show, no matter what happens in November.

Weird how little attention is being paid to two former US military guys caught this week in Venezuela trying to stage a coup is getting.

Honestly, it makes me think they have rigorous standards, which gives me more confidence in judges who have been appointed — assuming the President actually nominates candidates who are deemed qualified after said vetting.
