The virus made us do it is a great defense.

"The assembly process to select the District 10 candidates, carried out as coronavirus was quickly spreading through the state, was flawed, Buck said."

Hard to concentrate on Twitter when all those semi trucks full of Benjamins are rolling in and out of the loading dock.

Meanwhile, Trumpist secretaries of state and governors nod their heads, dutifully taking notes of an idea they can use in November.

Locate them, arrest them, hold them without bail. Standard police work. Most likely it's an army of one crank, but make an example of him.

US initial jobless claims for the week = 3.169 million. Slightly above forecasts again.

    22.647 million continuing claims.

Over the last six weeks, more than 30 million Americans have filed unemployment insurance claims.

WaPo/Ipsos survey of furloughed/unemployed workers found 77 percent of them expected to be rehired as crisis ebbs. About 20 percent didn't. That's 6 million folks who expect to be unemployed for some time. Story with poll cited economists who basically said many of those in that 77 percent were living in a dream world.

Stock futures way up, completely discounting unemployment news, on a report the US and China trade negotiators will meet next week. These people are living in a dream world, too.
