    Re: The comment about Fauci being a highly respected doctor and researcher...I heard some expert a while back say that Dr. Fauci has been listed in peer-reviewed research papers the 8th most times of anyone ever (I have no idea who the top 7 are!).

    That's an amazing stat, if true, and I have no reason to doubt it.

    Touche. I guess I'm also thinking Repubs might be fired up to head out as well so I think it will be anything but a done deal he loses.. But you're not wrong.

    Doubt it. I think the same two candidates are going at it again in November. And this is historically a red district.

    Hill's win was the outlier for a Democrat going back to the 90s, so odds are it will stay Republican -- the only difference would be with people who said "this vote doesn't really matter since we have to do it again in six months and then it REALLY counts -- and it comes in an election year, which you think would push numbers up anyway

    I think that the odds are that there is a blue wave. I'm not sure what Trump can do to get enough votes to offset that, because his performance has been so bad that he's not going to get too much more than his core voters.

    As of right now -- there were 100,000 fewer votes in that special election than in 2018
