1. “It’s embarrassing to the U.S. Government” is NOT a reason for something to be classified. In fact that point is specifically called out in training on Classification and Disclosure. “It makes us look bad,” is not allowed to be the reason.

2. It can’t be both untrue AND classified.

Like a lot of Trump lawsuits, as detailed by John Oliver I believe, Trump often threats a lawsuit or goes through some preliminary hearings, and then either drops the suit or doesn't contest it as time goes on. I doubt he's going to be successful obtaining a TRO, and at that point, its not like he's going to go through with a libel suit or something.

 

Reilley went into a lot of details on Trump and lawsuits in his book as well.

 

My position is this — just motherfuck John Bolton. He is a repulsive war hawk and to the extent that he was an institutionalist, he had his time to make a difference and for some reason which defies moral and logical comprehension, refused to testify when it mattered. If brick and mortar book stores were open, I’d drop a deuce on every copy of his book.

 

In other news people spray painted White Lives Matter on the Arthur Ashe statue in Richmond so things seem to be going great while I’m away.

Yeah the "war hawks", those guys who were in the Reagan and Bush 41 & 43 administrations, I couldn't stand those guys. They never served yet were quick on the trigger to send the poor and disenfranchised (because let's be real, those are who serve in the front lines) into battle to do their fighting. Those guys were the ones who would die, not the "war hawks".
