He'd lock up Texas, which, I suppose is in peril. But anybody who looks white, 35 years of age, born in the United States and capable of repeating a list of catch phrases that mentions liberty, freedom, Second Amendment, Our Troops, school choice, sanctity of life and so on would win Texas as long as he carries the GOP banner.

 

Yeah, but the Sicilian Defense works better if you play Black.

I don't get the candidate's state being a big deal. Hell, a GOP candidate from Texas had the Oval Office from 2000-2008, even though that state was a lock for his party. He was followed as President by a Democratic candidate from Illinois, who won two terms even though his state was a lock for his party.
