It fucking well does matter, if for no other reason than if you don't slap it down when it pops up then it sets a precedent that it's no big deal. Next time in a more contested election in another state, they're emboldened to do it again. More than that, given the Republican's use of the voter fraud myth to disenfranchise majority Dem voters, if they're guilty of it they need to be jumped on and made an example of.

The judge made a ruling and banned the practice. If they continue to do this, the people involved should be charged with election fraud. Plainly these boxes are being set up by people who are politically partisan and outside of the election system.
