How come the audio on the Trump town hall is so terrible?

Watched Trump for 5 minutes. He sounds frantic. Talking fast and constant, more than normal. Covid drugs or just drugs?

Literally the size of the Supreme Court was left variable specifically because the Founders envisioned a situation in which the Supreme Court might become too powerful and go against the will of the people, so they wrote in a mechanism by which a group that controlled the Presidency, House and Senate could balance it.

Court-packing has been part of the intended rules for almost 250 years.

A Twitter outage on the cusp of a public Twitchy meltdown?

The D-led Senate with Reid ended the filibuster because Mitch already was refusing to approve Obama’s judges. Mitch was the one who changed the rules. The Ds ended the filibuster in response.

The Rs always are changing the rules. It’s only fair for the Ds to be able to do the same.

It has been done on more than one occasion, starting in 1801, when the people who were in the government on both sides were the people who wrote and/or ratified the fucking Constitution.

Ten bucks says the Twitter outage was Trump supporters striking back after Twitter killed the fake NY Post story.

Best thing today was Sen. Hawley of Missouri emphatically denouncing Facebook for its monopoly of social media. On Twitter.

It isn't a case of you can't. It's a case of you shouldn't. Not that I don't think there's never a need and maybe there's one now. But at some point we need to stop the one upmanship.

    1. Actually, I believe that if Dems just abolished the Senate filibuster and passed a bunch of their desired legislation, the Court would get the message about what could happen to them and back off. But with Senators like Feinstein, it's hard to see that happening.
Dan Drezner of the Post and the Tufts Fletcher School has been watching both town halls (God, I hope he gets paid serious bank) and said it perfectly. "Trump is like fingernails on a blackboard. Biden is like elevator music."
